Karen Sidlauskas

Karen Sidlauskas, 80, joined her beloved husband of 53 years, Sid, in Heaven, on the morning of Thursday, July 16, 2020.

Karen was born in Rock Island, Illinois, on April 15, 1940, to the late Elmer and Hazel Stumper Rollet. Growing up in different communities in Illinois, she eventually settled with her family in Springfield and graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1958. Karen worked for Illinois Bell for 10 years until she moved to Warner Robins with Sid and their children. She enjoyed working as a library assistant to the head librarian at Mercer University before retiring.

A longtime and devout parishioner of Our Lady of the Skies, Karen served as a substitute pianist and organist, and as the Catholic Choir Director for many years. Her love for the Lord, her family, and her life will always be remembered.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Rodger Rollet.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Steven Sidlauskas (Trina) and Suzanne Sidlauskas; grandchildren, Jessica Holder (Buddy), and Brittany Clark and Kaley Reynolds (Jeremy); great-grandchildren, Aiden, Emerson, Avellina, and Alayna; and nieces, Christine Hayden and Lisa Colacurcio.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Karen will be laid to rest next to Sid at a later date in Calvary Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois.
