Karla Michelle De Leon

Karla Michelle De Leon entered into rest on Friday, October 14, 2022, at her residence just weeks before her 46th birthday.

On October 30, 1976, in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, Karla was born to Manuel De Leon, Sr. and Candida Vega. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Puerto Rico and worked as a financial assistant on Robins Air Force Base. A social butterfly, Karla could light up any room with her larger than life personality. Truly beautiful inside and out, she took delight in making others smile and laugh. Karla loved to dance and was great at karaoke. She was passionate about playing pool and even entered tournaments. Most of all, she was a wonderful mother and of the Christian faith. All will miss Karla’s contagious smile and loving spirit.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughter, Alondra Isabel Jimenez; father and stepmother, Manuel De Leon, Sr. and Mildred De Leon of Byron; mother, Candida Vega of Rio Grande, Puerto Rico; siblings, Celimar De Leon (Luis R. Ruiz) of Puerto Rico and Manuel De Leon, Jr. (Brandy) of Belgium; and boyfriend, Manuel Herpich.

A memorial gathering with Karla’s family and friends will be Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Iglesia Cristiana Remanso de Paz, 1715 Elberta Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31093. A memorial service celebrating Karla’s life will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Luis Ramirez officiating. Karla will be laid to rest privately.
