Kathleen Sisa

Kathleen Sisa, 91, walked into the arms of her Savior on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. She was met at the gates by her beloved husband, Clarence.

Kathleen was born in Arcadia, Florida on March 19, 1926 the daughter to the late Willoughby and Alma Partin Gates. She dedicated her life to faithfully serving her husband and staying home with their children. Kathleen was a longtime member of Bonaire Baptist Church and later Second Baptist Church where she was involved with the Woman’s Missionary Union. Her love for helping people always shined and was evident in all of her volunteer time with Meals on Wheels, with hospice as a “sitter,” and with teaching English at Central Baptist Church. Kathleen also delighted in performing with the Sunshine Girls at various nursing homes. She will forever be remembered with love and affection by family and friends who will cherish the memory of her sweet smile and her generous spirit.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Sisa; her son, Donald Ray Sisa; her parents; and her siblings, C.W. and Allen Gates, Veda Moorman, and Lamar and Gerald Gates.

Kathleen leaves her memory behind with her loving children, Robert Sisa (Robin) of Bonaire, Yvette Beckett (Charlie) of Marietta, and Julie Wingard (Jason) of Soperton; grandchildren, Ben Sisa, Brandon Sisa (Jessi), and Madeleine Kathleen Beckett; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Addison, and Camie Sisa; siblings, Barbara Ann Delbridge (Larry) and Carey Gates (Ruth), both of Albany, Floyd Gates (Ruby Jean) of Melbourne, Florida, and Almeta Carter of Warwick, Georgia; sister-in-law, Imogene Gates of Fort Pierce, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Ring officiating. Following the service, Kathleen will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Danny Moorman, Ben, Brandon and Elijah Sisa, Roger Gates, Tommy Carter, and Larry Gates will serve as pallbearers.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Kathleen Sisa to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry St., Macon, GA 31201.
