Kathy Broyles

January 21, 1956 — June 8, 2018

Kathy Broyles, 62, entered into rest on Friday, June 8, 2018.

Kathy grew up in Hawkinsville, Georgia and graduated from Hawkinsville High School. She enjoyed playing sports in school, especially softball and basketball and ended up being the her high school’s basketball team’s captain and most value player her senior year.

After graduating from high school, she worked many jobs including working for a loan company which she experienced much success. Years later, Kathy went to work in the automobile industry where she really found her niche and quickly become an industry leader in the sales department. She won multiple awards for her sales ability and also won countless salesperson of the month awards.

Kathy was a hard-working single mother and had worked up to three jobs in order to help support herself and her son. She did whatever it took with any sacrifice needed to make sure that her son never did without.

Kathy and her husband, John have been retired for the last few years and have lived in their dream home in the mountains of Young Harris, Georgia. They spent a lot of time traveling, but when not traveling, her favorite thing to do was to sit on her front porch and stare at their beautiful view of the mountains or have John build her a fire inside their home.

Kathy’s personality was almost as big as her heart. She was not afraid of confrontation if necessary, but she would also give you the shirt off her back. She never hesitated to help anyone in her path if there was a need.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Delsey Taylor, her brother, Phil Taylor, and her sister, Denise Graham.

Left to cherish the memories with Kathy are her loving and devoted husband, Dr. John Broyles of Young Harris, Georgia; her son, Kyle Kirchman; her sister, Lisa Taylor; her nephew, Eric Hair; her niece, Erica Graham; and her goddaughter, Allison Driggers Harrell.
