Kim E. Ledford

Kim E. Ledford passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at his residence. He was 65 years old.

Kim grew up mostly in Valdosta, Georgia, attending and graduating from Valdosta High School. He was a cab driver before moving to Miami, Florida where he was a security guard. He then moved to Pensacola, Florida. He became legally blind while living in Florida. After that time, he settled in Warner Robins. His disability didn’t stop him from living his life. Kim enjoyed being a volunteer at the Museum of Aviation as well as for the Salvation Army each Christmas. A local ambassador for the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, Kim was passionate about helping those who were blind find guide dogs. An avid music fan, he loved all genres and had a large collection of different kinds of music. He also loved NASCAR and adored spending time with his friends and family. He was a member of Sandy Valley Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Roy Ledford and Sandra Elaine Hakes Ledford.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Ann Tomlinson Ledford; daughter, Jessica Ann Ledford; stepson, Johnathon Braxton Walden; and stepsisters, Katrina Bliss of Tampa and Sabrina M. Hayes of Melbourne, Florida.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Sandy Valley Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, 371 East Jericho Turnpike, Smithtown, NY 11787.
