Lc Nasworthy, Sr.

LC Nasworthy, Sr., 83, was welcomed into the gates of heaven by his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 17, 2019.

LC was born on August 5, 1935 in Rebecca, Georgia to the late Daniel and Lula Grice Nasworthy. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army and Air Force. LC loved music, playing his guitar and yodeling. All who knew him will remember his kind and giving spirt.

LC is preceded in death by his son, Mark Nasworthy; grandson, Mark Brandon Nasworthy; siblings; Jewell Handley, Edna Cason, George Nasworthy, Louise Day, Theo Branam and Dan Nasworthy.

His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife, Mary Nasworthy; children, Lynn Craig Nasworthy of Macon and Valencia Thomas (David) of Warner Robins; daughter-in-law, Beverly Nasworthy; step-sons, Jimmy and Jason Edwards; mother of his children, Essie Pipkin of Cochran; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 24, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with committal services following at 3:00 p.m. at Big Creek Baptist Church in Irwinville, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of LC Nasworthy, Sr. to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38148 or the Cerebral Palsy Foundation at 3 Columbus Circle, 15th Floor, New York, New York 10019.
