Larry Edward Harn

Larry Edward Harn passed away on September 28, 2009, following a thirty-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at McCullough Funeral Home, 417 S. Houston Lake Road, Warner Robins. Funeral services and a celebration of Larry's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Bonaire First Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenny Rodgers officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at the Martin Cemetery, Nevils, GA with the Rev. Gary Quinney officiating.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions may do so to Bonaire First Baptist Church, 142 W. Highway 96, Bonaire, GA 31005 or to N.A.M.I. of Central Georgia, 209 Elberta Road, Warner Robins, GA 31093 or to the Martin Cemetery Fund, Nevils, GA.

Mr. Harn was born in Savannah and lived in Chatham County until the eleventh grade when his family moved to Macon. He was a former member of Vineville Baptist Church and a current member of Bonaire First Baptist and was an ordained deacon. Mr. Harn was a member of the United States Naval Reserves, the Navy Seabees and a Vietnam veteran. He was the owner of Astro-Oasis Pool Co. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Charles Harn of Richmond Hill GA, and a brother Loy Harn of Mt. Pleasant, SC.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, LaVonne Whitfield Harn of Bonaire; his children, Josh Harn of Bonaire and Janna Harn (Jay) Barker of Byron; his mother, Mary Alice Martin Harn of Richmond Hill, GA; six grandchildren, Rachel and Tyler Harn, Brooke, Amy, Blake and Ava Barker; two brothers, Lindy Harn of Black Creek, GA and Lonnie (Mary) Harn of Richmond Hill, GA; one sister, LaMonnie (Roy) Moore of Marietta, GA and several nieces and nephews, including Jude Spivey of Bonaire.
