Larry Michael Mcneal, Sr.

Larry M. McNeal, Sr., 70, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26 at Central Baptist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Dr. Owen Bozeman will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Monday, March 25 at McCullough Funeral Home. Friends are also welcome to visit the family at the residence.

Born in Dothan, Alabama to the late Arthur Curtis (A.C.) and Louise Dillard McNeal, Larry spent most of his life in Warner Robins. He was a 1961 graduate of Warner Robins High School and a 1965 graduate of The University of Georgia, where he received a bachelor's degree in Business. The same year he graduated from UGA, Larry and Carol McCullough McNeal were married, and he went to work for The Hartford, which began his lengthy career in the insurance business. In 1968, he opened his own independent insurance agency, The McNeal Agency. In addition to the agency, Larry's business involvements in the community were widely varied. He was a charter member of Central Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Wayne McNeal and David McNeal; and a sister, Sharon McNeal Peacock.

He is survived by his wife, Carol McCullough McNeal, and his three children: his daughter, Jill McNeal Adams (Bo); sons, Larry Michael McNeal, Jr. (Shannon) and Thomas Judson McNeal (Brandie); and eight grandchildren, Andrew and Caroline Adams; Anna Lynn, Mac, and Ella McNeal; Judson, John Michael, and James McNeal, all of Warner Robins; a sister, Dianne McNeal Sweitzer of Macon; step-mother, Jewel McNeal, of Gray; and many nieces and nephews.
