Laura Deann Wood

Laura DeAnn Wood passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2016.

Mrs. Wood was born on June 30, 1957 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to the late James William and Tharon Orita Andrews. DeAnn married James Harvey Wood in December of 1981. She began a career in the medical field working for Dr. Marshall Parker in Warner Robins, where she worked for many years as the office manager. Through the years working there, she touched many lives and enjoyed helping others. DeAnn and her family later moved to upstate South Carolina and continued working in the medical field before moving back to Warner Robins. She was most currently employed at Houston Medical Center, working in the billing department. DeAnn was a two-time breast cancer survivor who inspired and encouraged others who were also battling cancer.

DeAnn was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Harvey Wood. Her greatest joy was found in her beloved family, especially her daughter who was also her best friend. She and her sister Judy also had a special bond that was truly unbreakable. DeAnn will be missed by many.

Visitation with DeAnn's family will be Friday, May 6, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. At the family's request burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of DeAnn Wood to Georgia Cancer Friends Foundation c/o Color Me Pink, P.O. Box 9188 Warner Robins, Georgia 31095-9188.
