Laverne G. Churchwell

Laverne Georgie Churchwell, 83, went home to be with her Lord and his angels, August 5, 2011.

Mrs. Churchwell was born on December 10, 1927 in Cochran, Georgia. Proceeding her in death are her parents, Dewey and Agnes Thompson; siblings, Gladys Smith, Faye Bryant, Howard Thompson and Morris Thompson; and son, Phillip Belflower.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of thirty-one years, Amos Cecil Churchwell; children, Betti Cotton (Byron), Byron; Shela Johns (Wayne), Gray, Kannah Belflower (Sally), Nicholls, Georgia, Ann White, Niceville, Florida and Barbara Joiner, Homosassa, Florida and brother, Virgil Thompson.

Visitation will be Monday, August 8, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
