Lawrence Anthony Brown

November 2, 1919 — January 4, 2010

Nashville, Tennessee – Larry Brown, 90, entered into rest on Monday, January 4, 2010.

Mr. Brown was born on November 3, 1919, in Richland Center, Wisconsin, and was the last of twelve children. He graduated from Taylor University with a Masters degree in Theology. He dedicated his life to missionary work with the Methodist International Missionary Board where he served in Brazil, from 1953 until 1993. His church home was Belmont United Methodist Church in Nashville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Jane Brown, and parents, Wayne Earnest Brown and Stella May Cass Brown. He also was, preceded in death by eleven siblings.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Nancy Joy Crecraft Fox Brown, Nashville; sons, Ellis Wayne Brown, Atibaia, Sáo Paulo, Brazil, Harry Calvao Brown, Evans, Georgia, and Edvaldo Calvao, Warner Robins; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Pastor Garth Williams officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
