Leon L Boatright, Sr.

Leon L. Boatright Sr., 76, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 in his home. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 26, 2005 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 25, 2005 from 6 until 8 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Houston County 103 Westridge Drive Warner Robins, Ga. 31088.

Mr. Boatright was born in Republic, Missouri. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, the P. Joyner Sunday School Class, Central Five O’, and was an usher. He retired in 1989 from Robins Air Force Base and served the United States Army during the Korean conflict. His parents, Austin and Myrtle Boatright; sons, Leon, Jr., Jeffery Boatright; brother, Ross Boatright, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Shirley A. Boatright, Warner Robins; Steve Boatright (Donna), Baxley; LuAnne Barnett (Bill), Salem, Indiana; grandchildren, Stephen Boatright, Margaret Boatright, Heather Bussone, Ryan Bussone (Wendy); great- granddaughter, Alexis Bussone; aunt, Sylvia Fisher; Geneiva Thompson; uncle, Charlie James; nephew, Johnny Boatright, Republic, Missouri.
