Lewis Lanier

Mr. Lewis Lanier, 74, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 6, 2017.

Mr. Lewis was born on February 12, 1942 in Milledgeville, Georgia. He was a recycling clerk at the Happy Hour Service Center and much-loved resident of Falcon Park Group Home. Wherever Mr. Lewis went, he made sure there was never a dull moment! He was always on the go, never sitting still for one moment. Mr. Lewis was an inquisitive kind of guy, curious to know about everything. His roommates were very proud to have him as their friend. Indeed, Mr. Lewis will truly be missed by all in the Happy Hour Residential Program.

In the Ryals Wing, Mr. Lewis Lanier had an impact on everyone. He was a very kind man, a pleasure to be around because of his easy going attitude. Mr. Lewis was very polite and had a wonderful spirit. Can you imagine a man whom walks in circles often through-out the day, displaying his love in his own special way? Well, that was Mr. Lanier. He always had a way of doing something to make you smile and laugh. For example: Lewis would always peek into the cafeteria to see if the food was ready for the day. Mr. Lewis, A Full "Circle" of Life will truly be missed, and will forever live on within us.

His memory will forever be treasured by all who had the opportunity to know him.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17th in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Jeff Cleghorn will officiate. Following the service, Mr. Lanier will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
