Lina Farrish

Lina M. Farrish, 94, joined her beloved husband, Gibb Farrish, in Heaven, on Thursday, July 30, 2020.

Lina was born on April 28, 1926 in Greenwood, Mississippi, to the late Malcolm A. and Ethelina Wainwright Mitchell. She worked for a number of years as an Executive Secretary for Mississippi Chemical Corporation before retiring. All Saints Episcopal Church was her church home.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Eliza Hamilton and Mary Dillon.

She is survived by her loving children, George M. Farrish (Linda) of Brandon, Mississippi, Gibb Farrish, Jr. (Jill) of Mandeville, Louisiana, and Linda Faraone (Phil) of Warner Robins; grandson, Mitch Faraone (Cherie) of Warner Robins; great-grandchildren, Mallory, Emma, and Solomon Luke Faraone; sister, Josephine M. Turner of Tupelo, Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews.

Lina will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Gibb, at Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo, Mississippi at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Lina M. Farrish to your favorite charity.
