Linda B. Hardison

Mrs. Linda Bateman Hardison, 63, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 3, 2012 after battling a long illness.

Linda was born on January 18, 1949 in Crawford County, Georgia to the late Edgar and Francis Bateman, and she resided in Centerville, Georgia for most of her adult life. She graduated from Tift College in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and received her Master's Degree in 1984. Before retiring in 2009, Linda taught school in Houston County for over twenty-nine years at Shirley Hills Elementary, Centerville Elementary, Perry Elementary, and Morningside Elementary. A devoted member of First Baptist Church of Centerville, she was part of the Shining Light Sunday School Class where she served as Social Sister. Linda will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her loving husband of forty-two years, Murray Hardison; and three loving children, Holly (Hardison) Pavliscsak and her husband Michael, grandson, Ben, and granddaughter, Lily; Heath Hardison and his wife, Georgia, and their newborn granddaughter, Macon Grace; and Kurt Hardison and his wife, Heather, and grandsons, Logan and Chase. She is also survived by her brothers, Jeffery and Brant Bateman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Centerville with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to Hospice of Central Georgia, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210 or to CaringBridge, Donation Processing Center, P.O. Box 6032, Albert Lea, MN 56007-6632.
