Linda Bayer

August 19, 1948 — January 2, 2023

Linda Bayer, 74, entered into rest on January 2, 2023.

Linda was born on August 19, 1948, in Macon, Georgia to the late William and Clara Worrell. Linda attended McEvoy High School in Macon where she was a majorette. After graduating in 1966, she went on to attend Georgia Southern University for a year. She then went on to work for Macon Vocational Technical College doing clerical work. During this time, she went on a blind date with the man who would become her husband. She and Mark would go on to marry on December 5, 1970. Together they started a family and Linda became a homemaker. Her whole life was her family. She enjoyed volunteering at her daughters’ schools and supported them throughout their recitals and sporting events. Her hobby was her daughters, which consisted of coaching the majorettes, teaching dance, and assisting at the girls’ schools. She also volunteered for the Partners Club at Houston County High School. Linda loved crafts and could be found making macramé, ceramics, and floral arrangements. She was a faithful member of Southside Baptist; her faith and personal relationship with the Lord was a very important part of her life.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Mark Bayer; their children, Brandy Bayer Linnenkohl (Andy) of Libby, Montana and Sunny A. Bayer of Warner Robins, Georgia; and brother-in-law, Jim Hundley of Macon, Georgia. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Sheila W. Hundley.
