Linda Hutcherson Greene

Linda Hutcherson Greene, 77, walked into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, July 31, 2020.

Linda was born on March 25, 1943 to the late Robert and Gladelle Hutcherson. On January 16, 1965, she married her beloved husband, Daniel Arthur Greene, and began a career as a kindergarten paraprofessional at Centerville Elementary School from where she retired. Linda was a longtime faithful member of Centerville United Methodist Church and cherished participating in the Issues and Answers Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women’s Friendship Circle, and making quilts for church members who were experiencing difficulty with health issues. In her retirement, she volunteered as a Judicial Citizen Review Panel member.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel Arthur Greene; and brothers, Creighton and David Hutcherson.

Linda is survived by her loving son, Jonathan Greene (Heather); grandchildren, Abbye Hoyer and Jake Greene; special sisters-in-law, Adriane McClenny (Jimmy), Erma Slager (Bruce), and Sheryl Miller (Cliff)

She will be laid to rest next to Daniel, in a graveside service at Magnolia Park Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 with Pastor Tommy Odum officiating.

Donations may be given in memory of Linda Greene to the Food Pantry at Centerville United Methodist Church, 600 N. Houston Lake Rd., Centerville, GA 31028.
