Linda Jane Chavez

Linda J. Chavez, age 61, passed away in the afternoon of Friday, February 19, 2021 after a brief illness.

A lifelong resident of Middle Georgia, Linda was born in Macon. She was an avid thrift shopper who adored the thrill of finding a good deal. Linda spent most of her life raising her children and was an excellent cook. She was a lover of all animals, especially rescue ones.

Preceding Linda in death are her parents, Hubert Maddox and Katie Christine Jared Jump; and siblings, Connie Sickle, Deborah Maddox, Charles Maddox, and Hubert Maddox.

She is survived by her daughter, Prescillanna Peppers (Daquille) of Stockbridge; son, David Chavez (Sabrina) of Korea; grandson, Aziel Peppers; and siblings, Martha Crosby, Patricia Huckaby, David Maddox, Nathan Maddox, Elaine Chastain, Emma Floyd, Mary Furby, and Lovie Miller.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2021 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.
