Loie Thompson

Loie Thompson, 90 passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2007.

Mrs. Thompson was born on February 9, 1917 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a retired teacher from Bristol Elementary School, Bristol, Indiana. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, and was involved in Episcopal Church Women. She enjoyed spending time with children, and especially enjoyed reading to them. Her husband, William Stanley Thompson, parents, Floyd Nelson and Elizabeth Nelson, and son, William Henry Jones, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Liz Meyer (Jim), Warner Robins; son, Bill Thompson (Pam), Clinton Township, Michigan; daughter-in-law, Ellen Jones, Grand Junction, Colorado; grandchildren, Amy Solomon (Jim), Alex Meyer, Chris Jones (Francesca), Mike Thompson (Jill); great-grandchildren, J.J., John, and Jena Solomon, Brett and Aidan Jones, and Heidi Thompson; sister-in-law; Pearl Nelson.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2007, at All Saints Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon, GA 31201 or to All Saints Episcopal Church Building Fund, 1708 Watson Boulevard, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
