Lois Rape Long

Lois Rape Long, 98, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at Southern Heritage Personal Care. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 3, 2004 at First Baptist Church of Centerville with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, December 2 from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Houston County, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088 or First Baptist Church of Centerville Building Fund, 108 E. Church Street, Centerville, GA 31028.

Mrs. Long was born in Byron, GA. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Centerville and the Sr. Citizens Club. Her husband, Homer W. Long; parents, Silas and Lucia Brantley Rape; brother, W.H. “Pip” Rape; sisters, Cynthia and Gwendolyn Andrews and Elizabeth Brown, and son-in-law, James L. Stewart, Jr. preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, William Derrell Long (Vivian), Centerville; daughters, Barbara L. Stewart and Catherine L. Jones, Kathleen, and Kay L. Bailey(Thomas), Centerville; sister, Mozelle Lowe, Kathleen; grandsons, Mark Stewart (Kim) , Bryan Stewart (Tammy), Todd Bailey (Michelle) and Derrell Long, Jr. (Dot); granddaughters, Denise James (Chris), Kim Fennell, Teresa Bennett (Bill), Lisa Hogan (Tom) and Jackie Dean (Mark); and 16 great-grandchildren.
