Lorene Benedette

Lorene Benedette, 72, entered into rest on Friday, March 15, 2013.

Lorene was born on July 15, 1940 in Anna, Illinois. She was a member of Jonesboro First Baptist Church in Illinois. During her time in Middle Georgia, she was a member of Gilead Baptist Church in Macon and taught Senior Adult Sunday School at Stone Creek Baptist Church in Dry Branch. Lorene was a devoted wife and mother who loved singing in the church choir. For 26 years, the Benedettes successfully owned and operated J. B. & C. Business Equipment in Macon.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of forty-two years, Jeff Benedette; daughters, Toni Sue Leggans, Anna, Illinois; Dorene Pedigo (Don), Chattanooga, Tennessee; Cheryl Hughner (David), Warner Robins; Kathy Nellis (Bruce), Douglasville, Georgia; son, Jerry Dillow (Tiffiny), Anna, Illinois; sisters, Mary Richardson (Jerry), Anna, Illinois; Deloris Barton (Doug), St. Charles, Missouri; Mildred Matthews (Walter), Anna, Illinois; brother, Eugene Gibbs (Cheryl), Anna, Illinois; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
