Lt Col John P. Jones, Usaf (Ret)

John P. Jones, 93, entered into rest on Sunday, January 6, 2013.

Mr. Jones was born on April 19, 1919 in Farmer City, Illinois. He was of the Methodist faith. With pride and honor, Lt Colonel Jones served his country in the United States Air Force for thirty three years, retiring after obtaining the rank of Lt Colonel. John earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Omaha. Subsequent to his distinguished military career, John retired from Crocker Bank of California where he was Vice President. He was a Mason with the Masonic Lodge in Farmer City, Illinois. His beloved wife, Juanita "Jane" Beth Meliza Jones; son, John Preston Jones, II, his parents, Darrell Lance Jones and Atha Irene Davis Jones; and son in law, Charles Jaeger, all preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving children, Richard Jones (Catherine), Orange, California; Cathy Jaeger, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Julie Gravgaard (John), Ryan Kane (Barbara), Jill Shinoda; eight great grandchildren; siblings, Joanne, Tillie, Sandra, Karen, Keith, Les, all from Illinois.

Funeral Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Georgia, 455 Abernathy Road N.E., Atlanta, Georgia 30328.
