Lt. Col. Toxie Wilton Richardson, Jr., Usaf (Ret.)

Eighty seven year old Toxie Wilton Richardson, Jr., was reunited with his wife, the love of his life, the late Betty Ann Richardson, on Thursday, December 17, 2015.

T.W. was born in Columbus, Mississippi in 1928 to the late Toxie Sr. and Elizabeth Richardson. Following graduation from high school he continued his education receiving a Bachelor's Degree from Mississippi State. Following his time there he enlisted in the United States Air Force. With pride and honor he served our country for 26 years and retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During his military career, he furthered his education at Colorado State University, receiving a Master's Degree in Hospital Administration. Once he and his family had located to Warner Robins, they became members of Shirley Hills Baptist Church where he later served as a Deacon. Additionally, T.W. was active in the Gideon's and was a Mason.

Along with his wife and parents, T.W. was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Sue Richardson Eatherton.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving children, Kevan Richardson of Gainsville; Gary Richardson and Karen Richardson, both of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Dustin, Kailyn, and Lauren McDearmid; as well as siblings, James Richardson of Columbus, Mississippi; Mary Cross of Florence, Alabama; and Myra Cox of Columbus, Mississippi.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McCullough. A graveside service will be held on the following Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 1:00 pm (Central Time) in Friendship Cemetery in Columbus, Mississippi where T.W. will be laid to rest with military honors.
