Lula Mae Thompson passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2004 at Peachbelt Nursing Center. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 7 in the Magnolia Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Hartsville, South Carolina and was retired from Country Cupboard where she had been a waitress. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie B. Thompson, and her father, John King.

Survivors include her mother, Geneva B. King, Hartsville, SC; son, Dennis McShurley, Phenix City, AL; daughter, Donna Hebert, Byron; brothers, Richard King and Robert King, both of Hartsville, and Thomas King, Monk’s Corner, SC; sisters, Loretta Overcast, Hazel, KY, and Mildred Corley, Redlands, CA; and grandson, Patrick Charles McShurley.
