Lynda "Becky" Fortson

Becky Fortson, 75, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016.

Becky was born on October 11, 1940 in Macon, Georgia to the late Augustus and Reba McCoy Weaver. She was a devoted homemaker always caring for her husband and children's needs. Becky loved cooking, listening to music, and entertaining during family holidays. However, her greatest joy was found in family and most particularly in being an adoring "Big Mama" to her eleven beloved grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Haskell Arthell Fortson.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Robert Fortson of San Diego; Joe Fortson (Jeanne) of Warner Robins; Karen Jerkins (Gary), Jim Fortson (Judy) of Winter Haven; David Fortson of Appling; Amy Thomas of Warner Robins; Troy Tollett (Traci) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Michael Carr (Pricilla), Angie Dubree (Jerry), Amanda Clavier (Danny), Christina Tricker, Jesse Fortson (Caity), Amber Ross (Marc), Joseph Bishop, Adam and Roy Thompson, Alex Thomas, Macy Tollett; great-grandchildren, Ein Carr, Trista Carr, Becca Jones, Alana Jones, Nadia Dubree, Anthony Jerkins, Araya Thompson, Melina Thompson, Stephanie Scott, Abby Scott, Charles Tricker; sister, Eleanor Hatton of Perry, and brother, Melvin Weaver of Byron.

Visitation with Lynda's family will be Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016 in the Chapel of McCullough. Following the service, Mrs. Lynda will be laid to rest next to her husband, the late Haskell Fortson in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Homestead Hospice to 500 Osigian Blvd. Warner Robins, Ga. 31088.
