Msgt Robert Edward Haggerty, Usaf (Ret.)

July 17, 1963 — November 12, 2015

Robert Haggerty, 52, entered into rest on Thursday, November 12, 2015. With pride and honor Robert served his country in the United States Air Force retiring as a Master Seargent. He was currently a civil service employee at Robins Air Force Base working as an Information Technology Specialist.

Robert was a man of the home. He lived for his wife and children by only wanting the best for them. He wanted his children to discover and cultivate the best of themselves.

Robert was a man of the uniform. His stories of the blue were filled with pride, joy and some of the most humorous times of his life. He knew fear in the service yet would not let his fear stand in the way of his service to his family and his country.

Robert was a man of an examined life. He believed strongly and defended his beliefs passionately. He was not a man to ignore wrong doings and would admit when he was mistaken and adapted his beliefs to craft a better self. He asked everyone to examine their convictions, and in so doing, to be adaptable.
In strength, love and service he lived.

His father, John Roger Haggerty and sister, Elizabeth Anne Haggerty preceded him in death.

Left to treasure his memory is his loving wife, Susan Heuberger Haggerty; children, Nichole Kontarinis (Nikolas) of Staten Island, New York; Jennifer Haggerty of Austin, Texas; Matthew Haggerty of Newport News, Virginia; Jason Palfrey (Beth) of West Columbia, South Carolina; and Ann Marie Palfrey of Warner Robins; Mr. Bob's special little ones, Taylor Palfrey, Tyler Palfrey, Jordyn Bostian, Holden Mays and Jasper Mays; mother, Dianne Haggerty of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; brother, Craig Haggerty (Dorie) of Elmira, New York; and sister, Diana McCready of Warminster, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation being held one hour prior. Afterwards, Mr. Haggerty will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery with full military honors.

Thank you Bob and Dad for being there for us. We Love you.
