Msgt. A. Paul White, Usaf (Ret.)

A. Paul White, 85, a decorated Vietnam War veteran passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins.

The son of the late Clarence and Wilmer White Snoddy, Paul was born on October 25, 1935, in Florence, Alabama. In 1956, after graduating high school at the age of 18, Paul enlisted into the United States Air Force and served as an Aircraft Electrician until he retired with the rank of Master Sergeant in 1975. Following his time in the military, Paul continued his work as a skilled Electrician first at Pabst Blue Ribbon and finally at the Houston County Board of Education before his second and final retirement. Paul enjoyed his days of retirement by doing just about anything that involved woodworking to include making chairs, clocks, and windmills. He was also a master griller and enjoyed grilling many fantastic meals for his family and friends. Above all else, Paul was of the Baptist faith and was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Haynesville. His memory will be forever cherished by his dearly beloved family and friends.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Joyce Dayhuff White; sons, Michael and Greg White; an infant daughter; and his great-grandchild, Caleb Ryan White, preceded Paul in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Joe White of Warner Robins; Missy Boring (Paul) of Byron; Paula Mosely (Kurt) of Lizella; and Mark White (Sheila) of Haynesville; eight grandchildren; and 16 great- grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, November 30, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Haynesville. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Afterward, Mr. White will be laid to rest in Andersonville National Cemetery. For friends and family unable to attend, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of MSgt. A. Paul White, USAF (Ret.) to First Baptist Church of Haynesville, 2953 Hwy 341S, Hawkinsville, Georgia 31036.
