Msgt Bill Pigg, Usaf (Ret.)

Bill Pigg, 94, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016.

Bill was born on April 19, 1922 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to the late Boyd and Myrtle Maloney Pigg. Following high school Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served for over 26 years. Bill retired from the Air Force with the rank of Master Sergeant. He then opened and operated BP Industrial Supplies where he sold pool and janitorial supplies. Bill was a member of the Circle 8 Square Dancers, American Legion, and the NCO Club. In his spare time he enjoyed playing cards, however his greatest joy came from time spent with his beloved family.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 73 years, Lillian Pigg of Macon; granddaughter, Shannon Pigg of Tampa, Florida; and brothers, Bob Pigg of Virginia and Roy Pigg (Bonnie) of Mississippi.

Visitation with William's family will be Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2016, in Andersonville National Cemetery where Bill will be laid to rest with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Bill Pigg to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148.
