Edmund Stanley Sierak, 75, entered into the presence of the Lord on Monday, March 16, 2015.

Edmund was born on May 2, 1939 in Utica, New York to the late Stanley and Lillian Sierak. After graduating from Utica Free Academy, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country for 26 years, at the time of his retirement he was serving as First Sergeant. Edmund continued in the work force for 20 more years in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base retiring from there as well.

He was a devout parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In his retirement, Edmund enjoyed golfing, bowling, cooking out and watching the Game Show Network. He also delighted in traveling throughout Europe and the Caribbean with his beloved wife of 52 years, Shirley. Edmund loved spending time with his family who will forever remember him as a devoted husband, nurturing father and doting grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Sierak.

He is survived by the love of his life, Shirley J. Sierak of Warner Robins; children, Leslie "Corrie" Mochrie and Patrick Wayne Sierak (Michele), both of Byron, Missi Upshaw (Bryan) of Centerville, and Susie Griggs (Bill) of Abilene, Texas; grandchildren, Andrew Mochrie, Meghan Greathouse, Tyler Sierak, Mitchell and Alyssa Upshaw, and Colin and Erin Griggs; great-grandson, Johnathan Greathouse; niece, Sheri Sierak-Riesel; and nephew, Mark Sierak.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 19, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a Committal Service following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
