Msgt. Larry Arnold Welch, Usaf (Ret.)

Larry Welch, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 9, 2017.

Larry was born on April 4, 1940 in Pomona, California to the late Glen and Ellen Welch. At a young age he and his family moved to Alpena, Arkansas where he grew up and graduated high school. Following high school, Larry joined the United States Air Force where he proudly served in the Precision Measurement Equipment Lab. After 23 years of service, he retired with the rank of Master Sergeant. Later Larry worked at Raytheon for a short time before working at CMI where he retired. He enjoyed reading, fishing and camping in his spare time. However, his greatest joy came from time spent with his beloved family.

Along with his parents, his sister and two brothers preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 40 years, Roberta Welch of Centerville, children, Steve Green (Sherry) of Gladstone, Illinois; Ellen Welch (Thomas) of Boone, Iowa; Jessie Welch of Meridian, Mississippi; Teresa Smith of Warner Robins; Joe Welch (Jackie) of Baltimore, Maryland; grandchildren, Sarah Fogel; Thomas Fogel; Neil Fogel; Devin Welch; Scott Brown; Kaitlyn Smith, and great-grandchildren, Madison Brown, Michael Brown.

At the family's request all services will be private.
