Msgt Lyndon Franklin Schultz, Usaf (Ret)

January 16, 1932 — August 23, 2012

Lyndon Franklin Schultz, 80, entered into rest on Thursday, August 23, 2012.

Mr. Schultz was born on January 16, 1932 in Carmine, Texas to the late Arnold L. and Clara Wolle Schultz. A talented Musician, Lyn won first chair for Saxophone in the Texas All State Band in 1949. With pride, honor, courage and commitment, he proudly served as a goodwill and peace ambassador in the United States Air Force Bands in the United States and Pacific Rim, retiring with the rank of MSgt. after twenty six years. Upon retirement, he managed SAC Dining Hall for several years. He was a longtime member at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church where he served as Choir Director, Head of Music Committee, Member of Fellowship Board, Head Chef for the church retreats, and in any capacity he was asked to serve. His hobbies were gardening and hunting. He will be fondly remembered for his love of God, his church, and his commitment and dedication to his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Jo Nell Schultz; grandchildren, Jenna Colette and Jaelyn Carley Easterling, and six siblings.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving children, Judith Ann Marsh (Jeff), Byron; James D. Easterling, Jr. (Denise) Bonaire; Joseph C. Easterling (Jessica), Byron; siblings, Leland Schultz, Norman Schultz, Dale Schultz; grandchildren, Jessica Lyn Henshaw, Jason Christopher Larson, CPL James D. Easterling, III, US Marines, PFC Jeremy Lyndon Easterling, US Army, Joselyn Paige Easterling, Jordan Cole Easterling, Jared Cam Easterling, Jacob Cade Easterling; five great grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday evening, August 26, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 27, 2012 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. Interment with full military honors will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 336 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
