Msgt. Richard Griffin Keesee, Usaf (Ret)

April 24, 1929 — May 2, 2007

Richard Keesee, 78, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2007.

Mr. Keesee was born on April 24, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A career veteran, MSgt. Keesee retired from the United States Air Force after earning his rank of MSgt. He served during the Vietnam Era and the Korean Conflict. MSgt. Keesee was a Bronze Star Recipient. In addition to his military career as a Jet Engine Mechanic, he also retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base where he was employed as an Aircraft Engine Mechanic. MSgt. Keesee loved his family and took great pride in time spent with them. He was an avid race car fan, enjoyed fishing, and wood crafting. His parents, Richard and Ann Keesee, and sister, Rita Delmonico, all preceded him in death.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of fifty two years, Inez Keesee, Warner Robins; children, April Lynne Fordham (Gary), Warner Robins; Jeanne Smith (Danny), Metter; Patricia Bird (Frank), Monroe; Richard Greg Keesee, Charles Timothy Keesee, both of Warner Robins; and grandchildren, Frank, John and Matthew Bird, and Kelsey and Mary Grace Smith.

A rosary will be held Friday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment with full military honors will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund 250 South Davis Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31099.
