Msgt. Samuel Williams, Usaf (Ret.)

Samuel Williams, 84, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020.

Born in White Plains, New York, on August 1, 1936, Samuel was the son of the late Mixon Pryors and Mary J. Bowman Williams of Sheldon, South Carolina. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from which he retired having attained the rank of Master Sergeant. Samuel retired from Civil Service at Marine Corps Logistic Base in Albany, as well. He enjoyed a lifelong hobby of model airplanes and was a member of the American Modelers Association. Another favorite pastime of Samuel’s was fishing. He was a member of the Fishermen of Middle Georgia Fishing Club.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 63 years, Tommie Lee Robinson Williams; his children, Lavetta Williams of Perry, Samuel Williams, Jr. of Oxnard, California, Marion Williams of Warner Robins, and Jennifer Williams of Miramar, Florida; grandchildren, Shawn Brandon Williams of Oxnard, California and Christine Marie Williams of Tampa, Florida; great-grandchildren, Ariana Caudill, Liam Harley Williams, Malaysia Marie Williams, and Harlyn Williams; and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, October 2, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Martin Luther King Memorial Chapel in Albany. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in Albany, Georgia. Samuel will be laid to rest in Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia, on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 1:30 p.m.

For friends unable to attend at this time, the graveside service in Canton, Georgia will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.
