Thomas O. "T.O." Loftin, Jr., 93, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 27, 2014.
T.O. was born on October 25, 1920 in Silas, Alabama to the late Thomas O. Loftin, Sr. and Eloise Slaughter Loftin. A proud veteran of both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force, he served our country during World War II and Korean and Vietnam Wars. T.O. retired from the Air Force with the rank of Master Sergeant and from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. He was also a twenty year volunteer tax assistant for the JAG Office.
T.O. was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Warner Robins. He was also a much-loved member of the VFW and a lifetime member of the American Legion.
His beloved wife, Wiliene Thornton Loftin; parents; a brother and two sisters, preceded him in death.
T.O.'s memory will forever be treasured by his loving children, Peter A. Loftin (Debra Jean) of Camilla, Georgia and Dixie L. Henning (Edward) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Jason A. Loftin, Justin A. Loftin and Edward Henning, III; six great-grandchildren; brother, Edward Loftin (Betty) of Alabama; and several adoring nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, September 1, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following at 12:00 p.m. in Andersonville National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
