A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Mabel Bone West, 97, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at her residence.

Mrs. West was the daughter of the late Frank and Maria Higginson Bone and was one of eight siblings. She was born in Bedford, England, on December 15, 1923. Mrs. West met her husband, George A. West, Sr., in England before moving to the United States of America. Together they raised three wonderful children, George, Jr., Timothy, and Angela. Family meant everything to Mrs. West, she dedicated her life to taking care of them and was a fantastic cook. She especially loved Christmas time with family and went all out every year decorating for it. Of the Lutheran faith, Mrs. West was an active member of the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting, and loved gardening and cultivating flowers. Her fiery and strong-willed personality mixed with her unconditional love and devotion will be missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her husband of 65 years, George A. West, Sr., and parents, Mrs. West was preceded in death by her seven sisters, Marjorie Seabrook, Amy Parker, Evelyn Francis, Dorothy Hargreaves, Maudie Birdsall, Lorna Moldovan, and Norma Smith.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, George A. West, Jr. (Mabel), Timothy West (Karen), Angela Thomas (Mike); grandchildren, George Allen West III (Stacy), Lauren Elizabeth Sheffield (David), Emily Harrington, Timothy West, Jr. (Holly), Laurel Henderson (Scott), Ashlyn DeFoor (Seth), Alex Thomas (Brandy), Ian Thomas (Kirsten); great-grandchildren, John Conner West, Abigail Leeanne West, Cameron Sheffield, Chandler Sheffield, Cason Sheffield, Colby West, Ellie West, Chandler Henderson, Carter Henderson, Charlee Henderson, Carsyn Henderson, and Nolan Thomas.
