Marcus Dale Wilkins

Marcus Dale Wilkins, devoted husband, dedicated father, doting grandfather, and loving son and brother, passed into the hands of his Lord on Saturday, July 4, 2015 after a courageous battle with Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS).

Born on October 17, 1958 in Duluth, Georgia, Marcus was a tool and dye specialist for Graphic Packaging International Inc. He possessed a true servant's heart always putting God first and truly enjoying his relationship with the Lord through studying, praying and serving.

Marcus was a skilled blacksmith, mechanic, and inventor. He was also an avid gun lover and lifetime member of the NRA. Marcus enjoyed horseback riding, motorcycling, scuba diving, hunting and fishing, NASCAR racing (Branch-Reagan), mud bogging and studying creation science. With all of the things Marcus loved to do, his family was the center of his life.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 38 years, Carol Wilkins of Fort Valley; daughters, Christina Brown (Christopher) of Kathleen and Angela Adams (Chris) and Melissa Dale Wilkins, both of Fort Valley; granddaughters, Aubrey and Bailey Brown and Makayla and Alexis Adams; parents, Rev. David Wilkins and Edith Branch Wilkins, both of Warner Robins; sister, Neysa Semmler (Alex) of Panama City Beach, Florida; brother, Olan Wilkins (Mallory) of Albany; and many other loving family members.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 8, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2015 on Sunshine Mountain at the home of Marcus and Carol, 226 Fellowship Church Rd., Fort Valley, GA 31030.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Marcus to Bread of Life Church of God in Byron, P.O. Box 6585, Warner Robins, GA 31095.
