Margaret Chancellor

Margaret Chancellor, 70, entered into rest on Saturday, May 28, 2011.

Born on November 30, 1940 in Montezuma, Margaret was a retired bookkeeper. She was a member of Second Baptist Church where she volunteered with Helping Hearts and participated in XYZ activities. A former Statistician for the Recreation Baseball League in Macon County for 20 years, Mrs. Chancellor was an avid church softball player who also enjoyed fishing. Her first husband, David Cross, and her parents, Gene Taylor and Ruth Smith Taylor, preceded her in death.

She will live in the hearts of her husband, Jim Chancellor; children, Sheila Parks (Alan), Ken Cross (Leisa),; Terry Cross (Cappy); step-children, Darenda Edwards (Matt), and Darrin Chancellor (Annette); grandchildren, Krissy Middleton, Lea Varnum, Kenny Cross, Colby Britt, Saylor Ann Cross, and Havalyn Cross; step-grandchildren, Dustin Chancellor, Dylan Chancellor, and Austin Edwards. 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Willie Taylor (Maggie)

Visitation will be on Monday, May 30, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, at Second Baptist Church of Warner Robins. Interment will follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens in Oglethorpe at 2:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to Second Baptist Helping Hearts Ministry, 2504 Moody Road, Warner Robins GA 31088.
