Margaret Ruth (Marge) Gaudin

March 20, 1918 — April 28, 2003

Margaret Ruth (Marge) Gaudin, 85, died Monday, April 28, 2003, in Rock Hill, SC. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 1 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Upstate South Carolina Chapter, 555 John B. White, Sr. Blvd, Spartanburg, SC 29306 or to the Woodlawn Baptist Church Child Development Center, 4622 Nations Crossing RD, Charlotte, NC 28217.

Mrs. Gaudin, a native of Shelbyville, Tennessee, lived in Warner Robins from 1963 until 1991, when she moved to the Carolinas. She was a graduate of the Wilma Russell Business School in Tennessee and spent 22 years as the wife of an Air Force Officer. She was named Outstanding Volunteer of the Family Services Program where she served the Program as Chairman of the Neighborhood Assistance Center and Chairman of Emergency Services.

Mrs. Gaudin was a member of the Order of Easter Star Chapter #269 in Tullahoma, Tennessee, and a member of Green Acres Baptist Church where she was enrolled in the Rebekah Sunday School Class. She was a former employee of the Department of Interior at Robins Air Force Base and Secretary for McCullough Funeral Home. She was married for 45 years to the late Cliff Gaudin.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jim Almond, Charlotte, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Michele Gaudin, Rock Hill, SC; brother, Whitson Henley, Ohio; and two granddaughters, Jennifer Blackwelder and JoAnna Harrigan, and two great-grandsons, Chase and Noah Blackwelder, all of Charlotte, NC.

McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
