Marian Scott Helms

Marian S. Helms, 91, entered into rest Sunday, August 31, 2008.
Mrs. Helms was born in Anderson, South Carolina on April 3, 1917. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert R. Helms, parents, Henry Scott and Allie Broadwell Scott, sisters, Christine Lopez, Mildred Cheek and Pauline Drake.

Cherishing her memory are her daughter, Linda Drath (Wilfred), Greensboro, North Carolina; son, Steve Helms, Chapel Hill, North Carolina; grandchildren, Will, Elizabeth and Alice Drath; sisters, Mable Wilkerson, Athens, Hilda Warren, Anderson, South Carolina and Sue King, Easley, South Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 2, 2008 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
