Marion Edith Henry

September 7, 1924 — March 1, 2018

Marion Edith Henry, 93, left this world to join her beloved husband, William Rogers Henry in heaven in the early morning hours of Thursday, March 1, 2018.

Born in San Antonio, Texas on September 7, 1924, Marion was the daughter of the late James Milton and Edith Marion Lampman Jones. She dedicated her life to serving her husband, raising their children, and living a tireless Christian example. A charter member of Central Baptist Church, she was also a member of the Central Georgia Genealogical Society, and served as Past Presidents of the State of Georgia La Femmes, the local La Femmes, and the Civilian Wives Club. The memory of Marion’s fidelity and loyalty to God and her family will remain as an inspiration to everyone who knew her.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving daughters, Joan Henry Woods (Greg) of St. Simons Island and Edith Henry Yaughn of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Sandy Trammell, Eric Heflinger (Gaby), Robin Oliver (Rick), and Leslie Skipper (Bryant); great-grandchildren, Sydney, Kyle, and William Heflinger, Regan Oliver, and Tate and Laney Skipper; and sister, Lillian Moseley of Bradenton, Florida.

The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at Antebellum Grove Assisted Living for their continuous care. They would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Hospice Care Options for the neverending comfort and support they gave to Mrs. Henry and to them, as well.

Visitation will be Monday, March 5, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 5, 2018 in Magnolia Park Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to Bill.
