Warner Robins resident Marjorie Isabel Smith passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in Peach County after a brief illness. She was 88 years old.
Born in London, England on February 21, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Muriel Applby. Marjorie worked in medical records for the Veterans Association for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed traveling as well as cruising. An animal lover, Marjorie always had time for her pets. Most of all, she loved her family and spent as much time as she could with them.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jenna Hirst.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband of more than 30 years, Johnny Smith; daughter, Diana Hirst; grandson, Jarrad Hirst (Meka); great granddaughters, Michelle and Lauren Hirst; stepdaughters, Tonya, Yvonne, and Briggett Smith as well as many other family members.
A memorial service to celebrate Marjorie’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Eagle Springs Clubhouse, 102 Eagle Parkway, Centerville, GA. The family will visit with friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests donations be made in Marjorie’s memory to the Humane Society of Houston County, 810 Carl Vinson Parkway, Centerville, GA 31028.
