Martha B. Wilson

March 22, 1946 — June 29, 2021

Martha B. Wilson began her eternal life with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. She was 75 years old.

She was born on March 22, 1946, in Hawkinsville, Georgia to Dewy and Minnie Nation. Martha lived in Warner Robins for 45 years before moving to Florida to be closer to her family. Following high school, Martha spent the majority of her life caring for others. She was a nurse’s assistant at Houston Medical Center in addition to several assisted living facilities throughout her career of more than 50 years. Always one to give selflessly to those who were suffering, Martha gave back to her community by serving the elderly in need or the homeless on the street. She will be missed by everyone whose life she touched in her quiet, humble way. Martha found great joy in growing plants and tending to her garden. Most of all, though, she enjoyed spending time with her son, Bruce Wilson, and her grandchildren, who were the light of her world.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; Kenneth Wilson, her husband of 19 years who passed away in 1985; her daughter, Leslie Michelle Wilson, who passed away in 1970; her brothers Sam, Billy, Earl, and Bobby; and her sister, Paulette.

Martha leaves behind her son, Bruce A Wilson of Ocoee, Florida; her daughter-in-law, Mara E. Wilson; her grandchildren, Jonah M. Wilson and Josephine M. Wilson; sisters, Joyce, Emma, and Sue as well as her brothers, Don, Grover, and John.
