Marvin Cecil Smith, Sr.

Marvin Cecil Smith, Sr., 54, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 11, 2010.

Mr. Smith was born on November 2, 1955, in Hawkinsville, and had worked for L&L Wood Products for fourteen years. Antioch Baptist Church was his church home. He was preceded in death by his sister, Anne Toskey, and parents, Walter E. Wood and Sudie Myers Wood.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Emma Dell Thompson Smith; children, April Lee Smith, Jessica Marie Smith and Marvin Cecil Smith, Jr., all of Hawkinsville; grandchildren, Jacob Scott Nobles, Daniel Dawson, Jr., Elijah Austin Dawson, Trinity Clarissa Johnson, Trey "Littlepeople" Johnson, Hunter Luke Trammel and Katlyn "Moonpie" Smith; siblings, Oscar H. Smith, Palatka, Barbara Jean Perkins, Fort Myers, and Michael Smith, Hawkinsville;

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 14, 2010, at Antioch Baptist Church, Dr. Kelly Pritchett officiating. Interment will be private. Contributions can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association – USA, National Headquarters – Jerry's Kids, 3300 East Sunrise Drive, Tucson AZ 85718.
