Marvin Lee Mcleod

Marvin Lee McLeod, 75, entered into rest on Sunday, December 2, 2012.

Mr. McLeod was born on March 6, 1937 in Milan, Georgia. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Centerville and the Roy Despirito Sunday School Class. Marvin graduated from Lanier High School in Macon, Georgia and was a proud veteran of the Georgia Air National Guard. After thirty-two years of dedicated service, he retired from Robins Air Force Base civil service as a Logistics Manager. Subsequent to his civil service career, he worked for ten years with the Houston County Sheriff's Department serving as a Lieutenant with the Houston County jail. His parents, Allie B. McLeod and Lessie Spires McLeod, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife, Katherine B. McLeod, Centerville; children, Melinda Bowen (Eddie), Cordele; Glenn McLeod (Karen), Kernersville, North Carolina; brother, Fred McLeod, sister, Elizabeth Wilson, both of Marietta; sister, Myrtle Chapman, Milledgeville; six grandchildren, Clint Fountain, Lezlie Bowen, Ford Bowen, Ashley Biron, Jordan McLeod, Madison McLeod; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 5, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to First Baptist Church of Centerville Building Fund, 108 Church Street, Centerville, Georgia 31028.
