Marvin Olin Leverette, Sr.

February 11, 1949 — September 1, 2021

M.O. Leverette of Kathleen, GA, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Centerville Cemetery, with Reverend Bobby Ryals officiating.

Born in Byron, GA, to the late Hardison and Mary Greathouse Leverette, he worked for Colonial Bakery and later retired from UPS.

M.O. was preceded in death by his brothers, Malcolm and Martin Leverette; and his sister, Madelyn “Bootie” Leverette. He is survived by his wife, Faye Helms Moore; son, Marvin Leverette, Jr. (Lynda); two daughters; grandson, Zack Leverette (Briana); two great-grandchildren; stepsons, Michael Moore (Wendy) and Jeffrey Moore; brother, Melvin Leverette (Darlene) and Ann Hancock (Ronnie); and sister-in-law, Maggie Leverette.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Marvin to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
