Mary Alcena Crowe

October 26, 1948 — August 16, 2023

Mary Alcena Crowe was delivered into the arms of her savior, Jesus Christ, and reunited with her beloved husband, Charles Bradley Crowe; parents, Isaac and Dorthea I. Hatton Conkwright; and brother, Kavin Conkwright, in Heaven on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.

Born on October 26, 1948, in Winchester, Kentucky, Mary's life was a testament to love, devotion, and faith. A dedicated wife and mother, she found joy in nurturing her family and spreading warmth to all who knew her. Mary’s passion for cooking and baking reflected her caring nature. Her unwavering Christian faith was a guiding light within First Baptist Church of Perry. Being a part of the church ladies' group allowed her to deepen her connections with other women who shared her values and beliefs. Music was another avenue through which Mary expressed herself. Her love for singing was an extension of her vibrant spirit. Whether it was hymns at church or songs around the house, her melodic voice resonated with the joy she felt in her heart. Mary also had a soft spot for animals, especially her dogs, “Itlbit and Patches.”

Mary's memory will be forever treasured by her loving daughter, Tammy Britt of Perry; son, Brad Crowe (Jodi) of Reynolds; grandchildren, Elijah Britt (Ashley), Jessica Britt, Alicia Crowe, Keeli Deloach (Justin), Bailey Crowe (Shaun); great-grandchildren, Amelia, Hinsley, Berkley, and Kimber; siblings, Charlene Haynes of Tennessee, Vivian Halterman, Vicky Bennett, and Greg Conkwright, all of Kentucky, and Lomita Armendariz of Georgia; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members whose lives she touched with her kindness and grace.

Visitation will be Monday, August 21, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Rev. Jamie Powell officiating. Afterward, Mary Alcena Crowe will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
