Mary Alice Cole Carr

Mary Alice Carr, 79, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017.

Mary Alice was born on August 20, 1937 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to the late Dave and Martha Day Cole. Following high school, she met and married her late husband of 33 years, Robert Carr. Mary Alice was a loving and devoted military wife whose highest priority was her family. Moving to different locations during her husband’s career, as a homemaker she was always able to help ease the transition for her children. In 1968, they were stationed in Warner Robins, which ultimately became their home. In more recent years, Mary Alice has enjoyed being a part of the Sweetwater Assisted Living family. However, her greatest has always come from time spent with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William David Carr.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughters, Martha Carolyn Carr Dorton of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Katherine Carr Morgan (Stephen) of Byron, Deborah Carr Corzine (Timothy) of Greer, South Carolina; grandchildren, Jennifer Sanders, Jessica O’Keefe, Stephen Lee Morgan, Justin Gray Morgan, Joshua Allen Ralston; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; and 3 brothers.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2017 in Parkway Memorial Gardens where Mary Alice will be laid to rest.
