Mary Birt

Mary "Maggie" Birt, 74, entered into rest July 27, 2008. Mrs. Birt was born in Eastman on December 5, 1933. A resident of Macon since 1953, she was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church in Warner Robins. She was an avid reader and loved to crochet. Her parents, William Clay Edwards and Jesse Brown Edwards, preceded her in death.

Family members treasuring her memory are daughter, Libby Fisher, Macon; sons, Ronald (Alyce) Bramblett, Kennebunk, Maine, Gerry (Joy) Bramblett, Unadilla and Jerry (Debbie) Bramblett, Eatonton; brother, James (Dorothy) Edwards, Fort Valley; sisters, Patricia (Hank) Sowash, Macon, Faye Allred, Byron and Brenda (Kenneth) Jones, Warner Robins; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 30, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Johnny Ellison officiating; interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Green Acres Baptist Church Building Fund, 901 Elberta Road, Warner Robins GA 31093.
