Mary Jewell Duke

Mary Jewell Duke, 84, joined her beloved husband, Edwin Preston Duke, in heaven on the morning of Saturday, February 17, 2018.

Mrs. Duke was born on September 17, 1933 in Roopville, Georgia, the daughter of the late Fred William and Jeanette Lorene Leavell Bell. A resident of Albany, Georgia for most of her life, she delighted in being a stay at home mother to her children and faithful wife to her husband. Mrs. Duke was a longtime member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church in Albany, and when she moved to Warner Robins five years ago, she enjoyed attending First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Duke leaves her memory behind with her loving children, Dr. Mary Barbara Duke of Kennesaw, Jonathan David Duke of Albany, and Lt. Col. Dennis Duke and his wife, Denise of Bonaire; and grandchildren, Nicholas and Christopher Black, Nina Peskiris-Arwood, Holly Anne Duke, Ethan and Nathan Duke.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018 in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 656 Roscoe Rd., Newnan, GA 30263.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Mary Jewell Duke to the Nola Brantley Memorial Library, 721 Watson Blvd, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
