Mary W. Fransioli

Mary Lou Walker Fransioli, 80, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022, surrounded in the loving embrace of her family.

Born on November 25, 1941, in Milan, Georgia, Mary was the youngest daughter of the late Mattie Pearl Cameron and David Daughtry Walker. She worked as a Supply Information Systems Specialist on Robins Air Force Base for more than fifty years, until her retirement.

Mary was deeply dedicated to her family. She cared for her aging parents and spoiled her nieces and nephews with all of her attention and occasional driving lessons. In her early 40s, Mary gave birth to Brian and then Beth. Her children became her greatest joy in life.

A natural born storyteller who was loved by all, Mary would draw listeners in with her ornately detailed recollections from her family’s history. She will be remembered as a loving wife and doting mother, who routinely put her family and friends before herself.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin James Fransioli, Jr.; her half-siblings, Cynthia Sue Walker, Clara Annie Walker, John Bezzent Walker, and Lewis Milton Walker; and her siblings, Peggy Sue Walker, David Cameron Walker, and Willie Dee Walker Elkins.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Brian David Fransioli and wife, Jihyun; daughter, Elizabeth Michelle Fransioli; her surviving siblings, Sarah Frances Walker Duncan and Charles Eugene Walker; her first cousin, George William Cameron; and her many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Andrew Methodist Church in Kathleen. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Afterward, Mary W. Fransioli will be laid to rest at Milan City Cemetery on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.
